Scott & Kathy’s Farm E-Session in Rural Alberta

Kathy and Scott admitted before we even started the session that they weren’t used to being photographed and were nervous to be on the wrong end of a camera.  “We aren’t models,” Kathy told me.  I like to think they managed to relax pretty quickly in and just enjoyed the moment.   We began our session in downtown Clive and moved on to Scott’s family farm in Tees with a few stops in between.  We were far enough into the country that we even had a little doe visit in the middle of our session.  I was disappointed when she didn’t stick around.

I love the light that comes from late evening sessions.  I’m a huge fan of the so-called “golden hour” – that hour of warm, soft light as the sun sets.  That light made for thrilling, beautiful photos on the farm, especially in the back field, if you keep on scrolling.  (There’s a lot of images.  I know.  Just stay with me.)

Kathy and Scott – I had a fantastic time with you and I’m fully confident that your wedding day will be even more fantastic.  I can’t wait to see all of your ideas come to life.
