As a wedding photographer, I’ve learned that if you really want to know how someone sees you, ask them to write a speech about you. At this wedding, aside from plenty of jokes/hints about grandkids, I learned that Natalya and Bryan are well-known to be selfless, thoughtful individuals who will go out of their way for those they love. I also learned that Natalya’s Irish uncle is a confident singer when he sang an Irish Blessing in his attempt to “embarrass us all.”
The storm forecast threatened us all afternoon but despite this, the wedding day was as relaxed as they come. Someone must really like these two because the rain held back through the outdoor ceremony…then through group portraits…and THEN through bride and groom portraits…and finally began to sprinkle as we entered the reception. The result was beautiful soft light and vivid colours.
Natalya’s vision for the day was a sweet, country chic theme in pinks and blues. It suited the outdoor ceremony space at the Westerner Park Harvest Gardens perfectly, followed by transportation via shiny vintage cars. So fun!

I had a fantastic time getting to know Bryan and Natalya (and their beloved dog, Roland!) throughout their wedding day. They had many talented friends and family pitch in to make it amazing and I’d like to make a special shout out to the women who put together those gorgeous bouquets and boutonnieres. I would highly recommend the vendors that took part in their day:
