Shania & Mark, August 5, 2016

During the ceremony, Reverend Ramkissoon remarked that he had never seen two people so excited to get married.  I agree.  Mark and Shania’s entire day had this special energy to it, like they could barely sit still for joy and it was infectious.

The entire wedding was filled with personal touches and beautiful details – probably because the ceremony and reception were decorated with what may possibly be every piece of décor in Shania and Mark’s home-to-be.  Can I just say, I am incredibly jealous of the renovations and updates Mark has put into their new home.  It is sweet, modern, and filled with sunshine.  While getting ready, Shania encouraged me to do whatever I wanted to get my angles.  I was concerned about breaking the windowsill and she told me, “Mark will just fix it.  No big deal.”  Sweet.

For the record, the windowsill is fine.

There were plenty of tears at the ceremony, more gorgeous décor, and Carson the ring bearer who made me smile as he struggled to sit quietly.  This was followed by portraits back at Mark and Shania’s acreage.  So many trees and so much sunshine!  Shania and Mark had also set up a big dance entrance with the entire bridal party at the start of the reception and it was a riot.  I loved the special touches she added to the dessert table as various family members had baked some of their best recipes to fill the table.  Now, I left the reception before the craziness started but I heard that they partied with a goat that night.  An actual baby goat.  I can’t believe I missed it.

To wrap this up, Mark and Shania, your day was wonderful, playful, and sweet.  I am so honoured that you allowed me to capture it for you and I loved every minute of it.  Stay tuned, everybody, because the talented Marsha Peacock Photography is soon going to be posting a fantastic video highlight reel of the day.  Be excited!  I promise I’ll share the link for you all.
