Idell and Myles’ engagement session landed on an extremely cold day last winter but their wedding landed on one of the hottest this summer. They were wed at the amazing Stone Barn Garden in Leduc and it was the perfect venue for the intimate, garden-themed ceremony. A handful of their closest family and friends gathered in a standing circle to support them as they exchanged their vows. There were tears.
The afternoon felt simple, sweet, and relaxed. We took portraits in and around the Stone Barn, then headed to the Telford Lake boardwalk for a few more of just Idell and Myles as the sun sank lower in the sky and sightseers strolled by. It felt like a fitting end to my time with them, both peaceful and beautiful. This couple is the thoughtful type who likes to stay out of the limelight and share their thoughts quietly (with the occasional quirky moment – there may have been a Titanic reenactment). I feel that after watching them together and with their loved ones, I’ve learned that they are also deeply loyal and deeply loved.
Idell and Myles, I really enjoyed getting to know you better and I appreciate that you invited me into such a private celebration. I wish you all the best in your marriage and I hope that we run into each other again.
