Amberly’s Autumn Equine Portrait Session

When Amberly was just a little girl, she was completely horse crazy.  Whenever she visited, we would go riding together on my horse, BJ, flying up and down the fields and grinning ear to ear.  Amberly has since grown up into a beautiful young woman and her passion for horses is as strong as ever.  I was thrilled when she asked me to photograph portraits of herself with her horse, Bullet.

Bullet turned out to be chatty and spunky.  I was encouraging Amberly to cuddle up to Bullet during the session and, as she put it, she had to “force her love on him”.  I don’t think he really minded all that much.  I’m swear I caught him posing a few times, standing perfectly for me as the wind tousled his mane.

Thanks for the fun afternoon, Amberly!  It’s so cool seeing how we’ve both grown up.  We’ve changed in some ways and yet not in others.  Know what I mean?
