Mandy & Jeff, Autumn E-Session at Burbank

I have known Mandy my entire life.  Many people know her as Amanda, which sounds strange and formal to my ears.  To me, she is still my freckly-faced cousin, Mandy, with the rapid fire wit and contagious laugh.

Before Jeff had even proposed, it was decided that I would photograph the wedding and it is an incredible honour.

When you see Jeff and Mandy together, you see a grounded couple who crack each other up and would go out of their way for anyone in need.  They’re the kind of couple you want to go to wings night with and laugh your faces off.  They’re also morning people meaning their engagement session was planned for sunrise and we got lucky with one brilliant sunrise despite a cloudy forecast.

I don’t get morning people BUT I can still appreciate a beautiful sunrise.

Somehow, all in the span of the early morning hours, we had this incredible orange sky followed by blowing snow.  Mandy and Jeff are troopers and went with the flow, so the images we captured are relaxed and fun-spirited, which seems exactly right for these two.  I’m really looking forward to their wedding day next year.  It will be here before we know it!
