Tamara & Tadd picked Lake Pofianga as the perfect setting for their relaxed, rustic wedding day. The intimate ceremony was held on a brisk, fall afternoon overlooking the lake in the middle of the trees. Tadd’s father played the bagpipes and then their closest family and friends looked on as they literally “tied the knot” in a knot binding ceremony.
Of course, the theme of the day was “Bears and Butterflies”, and it showed up in all kinds of details throughout the day. Not only that, but Tamara’s bouquet included white daisies in reference to an inside joke between herself and Tadd. It was sweet.
Following a delicious pig roast and the cutting of the cake, everyone gathered outside in the fresh, chilly air as night fell. Tamara and Tadd danced their first dance as husband and wife on a wooden porch surrounded by candles and glowing string lights. By the time I left, the firepit was crackling and everyone, including the bridal party, had bundled into warm sweaters and sweatpants to sit around the fire and simply spend time together. It was a fitting end to a sweet, relaxed day.
Tamara and Tadd, since you’re family, I’ve gotten to both see you and hear the stories as you fell deeper in love. You’re clearly so happy together and from the moment Tadd proposed, I was excited for your wedding. I wish you all the best in your marriage…but I’m sure I’ll be seeing you around plenty.
