The most brilliant thing about a camera is being able to freeze a moment and carry it away in your pocket. I learned long ago that even my best memories fade but I also learned that looking at a photograph can bring it all back – smells, sights, sounds.

I love browsing through my life.

A true child of the nineties, I can still smell my frizzy home-made perms as they set. Reading into the wee hours of the morning with my flashlight under the covers – and the inevitable terror of getting caught. The way the bottom of my high school prom dress swished out just right. The feeling on the morning of my wedding day that I was forgetting to breathe, up until I saw my husband for the first time.

In this current slice of time, I will clap my hands and jump up and down if you mention Doctor Who and I attend Comic Con every year. I have a B.A. in Psychology and drink a lot of tea. My husband and I argued over the name of our first cat for days until we realized we have one great love in common – cheese. Feel free to ask me how Cheddar, Blue, and Mozza are doing. We did not, however, name our kiddos after cheese. Our children, Felicity and Griffin, are adorable and will be raised with much geek knowledge and be well prepared for a zombie apocalypse.

I admit that I will rave over a great portrait the moment after I capture it, and I can’t get enough of the look on someone’s face when they see themselves through my eyes. If you haven’t already, please feel free to browse through my work. I would love to get to know you. While I’m based out of Central Alberta, I am happy to travel to your favourite
places.
